The City Budget represents the revenues and expenditures necessary to provide the services and programs desired by the community of Hopkins. It is intended to reflect the goals, objectives, and priorities established by the City Council with input from the residents and taxpayers.

The 2012 budget was adopted at the City Council meeting on December 20, 2011.
The City Council held a public hearing on the 2012 budget and levy at its December 6 meeting.
The 2012 General Fund budget is $10,470,526, a 1.66% increase from 2011 and a decrease from the 2012 budget presented at the September 6 meeting.
The 2012 tax levy is $10,250,991, a 1.11% increase over 2011 and a decrease of almost 1% from the levy presented at the September 6 meeting.
